League Events & Community Highlights
At North Brooklyn Youth Baseball League, the season is about much more than practices and games. We are a community-based, volunteer-run league that creates memorable baseball experiences for players and families across Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
Throughout the year, we organize special events, clinics, outings, celebrations, and community partnerships that help players build confidence, develop a love for the game, and feel connected to something bigger than their team.
Special Baseball Experiences
Our players and families have had the opportunity to take part in memorable baseball experiences, including:
Group outings to professional baseball games
Youth baseball events with the Yankees and Mets
On-field parades and stadium experiences
Pregame tours and behind-the-scenes opportunities
Special photo days and family baseball memories
These events give our players a chance to experience baseball beyond their local field and create memories with teammates, coaches, and families.
Clinics and Player Development
We regularly look for ways to bring high-quality baseball instruction to our players. Past events have included special clinics with experienced coaches, guest instructors, and baseball partners.
Recent highlights include our clinic with Dom Scala Baseball, featuring former New York Yankee and 1978 World Series Champion Dom Scala, along with support from the Italian American Baseball Foundation and other community partners.
These clinics are designed to help players improve their skills while keeping the focus on effort, learning, teamwork, and fun.
All-Star and Special Game Opportunities
NBYBL also creates additional playing opportunities for players who are ready for a more competitive experience. Our All-Star events give selected players the chance to represent the league, compete against other programs, and continue developing as teammates and leaders.
We also organize fun end-of-season scrimmages and mixed-team games so players can finish the season on a positive, low-pressure note with kids from across the league.
Team Celebrations and End-of-Season Traditions
We believe every player deserves to be celebrated. At the end of each season, teams are encouraged to hold their own celebrations, give out medals, recognize player contributions, and come together one last time as a team.
Many teams also create fun traditions such as team superlatives, postgame treats, team chants, and group photos.
Community Partnerships
NBYBL is proud to partner with local businesses, restaurants, coaches, families, and organizations that support youth baseball in North Brooklyn.
These partnerships have helped us provide clinics, team celebrations, sponsored events, discounts, special outings, and other opportunities for our players and families.
A League Built Around Community
Our goal is to give kids a positive baseball experience that they will remember. Whether it is a first tee-ball game, a clinic with a former professional player, a trip to Yankee Stadium, an All-Star game, or a simple postgame celebration with teammates, we want every family to feel part of the NBYBL community.
We are always looking for new ways to celebrate our players, support our coaches, and bring families together through baseball.
